TIG Power Sources
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) grants the operator greater control over the weld than
the other two processes GMAW and MMAW.
This process offers stronger and higher quality welds and can be used on materials of thickness of 0.6mm and above. TIG welding is
suitable for welding unalloyed and alloyed steels, aluminium, magnesium, copper, grey cast iron, bronze, silver, nickel, titanium, lead and a
multifold of other materials.
TIG welding is predominantly used for relatively thin material welding, especially for non-ferrous materials. Its other primary applications
include first and root pass welds for pipes and critical welding operations with emphasis on high quality weld seams.
